TRIO - A Meeting and Information Point of the Integration Agency of the Worker's Welfare Organisation Hamm-Warendorf

Integration agencies provide support whenever there are problems due to people from different countries and origins living together. They support and promote the civic involvement of migrant's organizations. They fight against discrimination, support the intercultural opening of public and social institutions and promote civic involvement of migrants as well as for the interests of migrants. Several projects are being developed and implemented in cooperation with local citizens to reach these goals to improve the situation on a local level. The TRIO, one of the projects of the integration agency of the AWO, is a meeting place for everyone that wants to get to know their neighbourhood and connect with other citizens. The TRIO also organizes different discussion groups, support for parents, language courses, leasure activities, information events regarding health issues etc. They focus mostly on women, young girls, families and teenagers in special circumstances.
